A Hard Day's NightTypical bilingual Belgian film poster for A Hard Day's Night (1964). The original poster is the work of Ernest Godts (born 1920), who between 1946 and 1983 anonymously designed more than a thousand film posters for the Belgian market. As for most of his other posters, he took a (black-and-white) photograph as a basis for his drawing and colouring. His associate Marcel Wauthier was responsible for the lettering. Ernest Godts does not recall having designed other Beatles film posters. |
